Timelines on Wedding Planning

22.01.18 - WOD 9I would like to start my first blog of 2018 by telling you all how excited I am to assist all of this year’s couples with the planning of their special day and of course, spending the big day itself looking after them, their families and friends.

I look forward to seeing what styles and trends come along this year, I am thinking that the vintage theme will continue, I don’t think that vintage will ever get old as it suits every season and I must say, looks amazing in 29 Glasgow. We are very fortunate to have an amazing venue with real charm and character to the building that it makes it very versatile to different themes, colours and even size of wedding!

I have put packages in place to suit all and I am also very happy to spend as much time as possible with couples at their initial stages to ensure that they have the perfect package and then it is full steam ahead with the planning!

20170828-DSCF1675I am often asked the very important question of timelines for the planning process and for anyone who is familiar with my style of planning my first answer is always that I am available at any time, even for the smallest of questions, however I still like to give general timelines in order to give my couples something to work with, I find the best times lines are:

First Meeting – 6/8 months prior to the wedding – this meeting is the run through of all of the details and lets me update timings and other supplier information and also answer the list of questions that most couples have gathered by this point! This catch up is always very beneficial and I can almost see the relief on couples faces when they have off-loaded all of their questions and information onto me.

Menu Tasting/Choosing of Menu – 3/4 months prior – this is a very enjoyable stage of the planning and most couples make a day/night of it with us on this visit, we have a nice little surprise of wines and Prosecco sampling at the tasting also!

Final Details – 4 weeks prior – this is when is all becomes very REAL! That final run through all of the details and firming up of the smallest details, I get very excited at this point!

20170828-DSCF1684Although these timelines are in place, I like to stress to couples that that these are guidelines and can be altered on request or depending on lead in time to wedding.

I look forward to going through all of these stages very soon with our 2018 couples!

I wanted to also take this opportunity to again thank all who attended our Wedding Open Day on Sunday, the day was a huge success, despite the snow!

I have now confirmed the date of our next Wedding Viewing Evening which will be held on Wednesday 7th March between 5-8pm, the venue will be fully dressed for a wedding and I will be on hand to assist with any questions. All welcome!

I look to the opportunity of welcoming you to 29 very soon and please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at any time with any wedding related questions or enquires – louize.hollywood@lynnetleisure.com
